Comercio & Cia. S.A, offers and sells green coffee to international markets, under the Peruvian Technical Norm parameters, considering the following classification:
Grade (DEGREE) 1:
General Description:
Washed coffee bean, new crop, well developed and prepared. Coffee maintained in good shape, homogeneus, strictly produced in higher zones, of intensely fresh scent and homogenous color. Good at excellent cup quality. It fulfills the specific requirements of flavor.
Humidity:
10% - 12%
Defects:
Maximum amount of defects 15
Granulometry:
Minimum 50% upon enmeshes 15, Maximum 5% underneath enmeshes 14
Phytosanitary state:
The coffee must be free of all dead or alive insect.
Cup Tests:
Marked acidity. Good body. Intense and good/typical aroma. Absolutely free of ferment or any other undesirable flavor including wood flavor.
Grade (DEGREE) 2:
General Description:
Composed by washed coffee bean of the present harvest. Height coffee, fresh scent and homogeneus color. Good cup quality. Nevertheless it does not fulfill all the flavor requirements of a grade 1coffee. Absence of typical characteristics, unable to characterize mixtures.
Humidity:
10% - 12.5%
Defects:
Maximum amount of defects 23
Granulometry:
Minimum 50% upon enmeshes 15, Maximum 5% underneath enmeshes 14.
Phytosanitary state:
The coffee must be free of all dead or alive insect, fungi and polluting agents that are sensorially perceivable
Cup Tests:
Good acidity. Absolutely free of ferment or any other undesirable flavor including wood flavor. Required medium body. |
